As an author, I’ve written two books: 33 Things I Wish Somebody Would Have Told Me and WROX: Professional PHP Design Patterns (ISBN: 978-0470496701). I’ve also been a columnist for PHP Architect and Sitepoint.

I’ve given more than 20 presentations ranging from conference keynote, to local user group, to industry conference workshop. Owner, Programmer, Consultant at More Better Faster, LLC PHP, NodeJS, React project work on demand. Business and technical process improvement and engineering manager training from nearly two decades of experience.

Advisory CTO, Talimer, Inc. Freelancers First is the Talimer motto. Responsible for developing software solutions to support the unique process and vision of the business.

Senior Director of Product Engineering at Dealer Inspire. I began at Dealer Inspire October, 2016, as a Senior PHP Developer. In October 2017, I was promoted to Director, and in May 2018 I was promoted to Senior Director. Dealer Inspire provides a comprehensive suite of tools for automotive dealers. I’m responsible for technical mentorship and career path enrichment of my development team of 12 direct reports. I assist the VP of Engineering in developing processes, procedures and best practices for all of the development teams. My time is split between four product teams: Online Shopper, which facilitates purchase, customization and financing of a vehicle completely online; Fuel, a tool which optimizes and automates advertising via real-time inventory feeds on AdWords and Bing; AdBuilder, an internal tool for building HTML5-based ads; and an upcoming project that is still under wraps.
